Dr. Joan Englehart Rodriguez

Dr. Joan Englehart Rodriguez, Au.D., joined Dr. Goldberg’s Suwanee practice in 2007 with 28 years experience in clinical audiology. A native of Pennsylvania, she earned her Bachelor of Art degree in Hearing and Speech Sciences from the University of Maryland in 1978 and her Master of Science degree in Audiology from Penn State University in 1979. In 2003 she received her Doctor of Audiology degree (Au.D.) from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Dr. Rodriguez is licensed by the state of Georgia and is certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She was appointed by the governor of Georgia to serve on the Georgia State Board of Hearing Aid Dealers and Dispensersfrom 1991 through 1997. She has practiced audiology in various medical settings, including hospitals, public health, and a large multi-specialty organization in Atlanta. Her greatest interests include adult and pediatric hearing disorders, and adult balance disorders.
She has two adult children who reside in Atlanta, GA and Durham, NC. She resides in Duluth, GA. Joan enjoys sports, esp. college basketball, walking, reading and travelling to the beach.
Jodi Goldberg, received a Masters of Arts Degree in Audiology in 1994 from The Ohio State University. Following graduation, she completed her clinical fellowship at a private hearing aid practice as well as an Ear, Nose and Throat Physician’s office.
Jodi has been employed with Ear Nose and Throat of Georgia, parent company of Advanced Hearing, LLC, since 1995. She became the director of the Audiology department in 2001. During her employment, she has become very knowledgeable in all aspects of Audiology including diagnostics, hearing aids, assistive listening devices, infant hearing screenings, vestibular testing, and tinnitus treatment and management.
Jodi specializes in the selection and fitting of hearing aids and wireless hearing aid accessories. She is always providing the most up to date technology and styles and utilizes most major manufacturers. She has also provided educational seminars on current amplification devices for several organizations in the Atlanta area.
Jodi is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the Georgia Academy of Audiology. She is licensed to practice in Georgia and practices at our St. Joseph’s office in Atlanta.
Alicia Bernstein received a Master of Science in Audiology in 1998 from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Upon obtaining her Master of Science degree, she completed her clinical fellowship year. Her fellowship year was split between a hospital and private Otology practice in Detroit, Michigan. Ms. Bernstein has gained a variety of experiences and extensive knowledge in a broad scope of audiology services. She is skilled in the diagnosis and management of hearing loss and balance disorders in both adults and children. Additionally, Ms. Bernstein is experienced in testing for auditory processing disorders and Universal Hearing screenings.
Ms. Bernstein is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia and is certified by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). She has practiced audiology in a wide variety of settings including hospitals and private practice. Ms. Bernstein practices audiology part time in the Alpharetta location.
Dr. Melissa Gordon
Dr. Melissa Gordon Au.D., earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2002 from the University of Georgia and earned her clinical doctorate in audiology from the University of Florida in 2006. She completed her clinical externship at the University of Florida and at a private ENT practice in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Gordon has been employed with Ear Nose and Throat of Georgia since 2007.
Dr. Gordon specializes in the diagnosis and management of hearing loss in adults, which includes recommendation, selection, and fitting of digital, programmable hearing aids for the treatment of hearing loss. She also provides electronystagmography (ENG) testing for patients with balance disorders.
Dr. Gordon is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She practices full time at our Lawrenceville location.
Dr. Julia Fahrney
Dr. Julia Fahrney, Au.D., earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Florida and earned her clinical Doctorate in Audiology from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Fahrney completed her fourth year doctoral externship at ENT of Georgia North, where she gained a variety of experiences in diagnosing and treating patients with balance and hearing disorders. She is a Fellow in the American Academy of Audiology and is licensed to practice in the state of Georgia.
Dr. Fahrney’s specialty areas include the diagnostics of hearing disorders for both pediatric and adult populations, hearing aid fittings, aural rehabilitation, tinnitus management, and balance disorders. She maintains knowledge of the latest hearing aid technologies through her relationships with major hearing aid manufacturers. This knowledge enables her to improve the quality of life for each of her patients. Dr. Fahrney is currently seeing patients in our Snellville location.
Dana Heath, M.S., FAAA, is a clinical Audiologist licensed in the State of Georgia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Southern Mississippi in Speech and Hearing Science and her Master of Science at the University of Mississippi in Communicative Disorders-Audiology in 1993. She earned her certificate of clinical competence (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association in 1993. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the Georgia Academy of Audiology. Her clinical experience is broad as she has worked in a large hospital setting and has been part of a multidisciplinary team in a Neuro-otology practice for the past 20 years. Her clinical experiences include central auditory processing disorder testing, infant and neuro-diagnostic ABR, VNG, c-VEMP, o-VEMP, electrocochleography, tinnitus counseling and hearing aid fittings.
Dana attends educational seminars to maintain her licensure and expertise in Audiology and keeps current with the latest advancements in hearing aid technology. She is dedicated to helping her patients achieve the very best possible hearing outcome from amplification.
She and her husband of 21 years have two bright and beautiful teenage daughters and spend most of their free time volunteering at their many sporting events.
Abigail Duncan obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Communication Disorders from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2004. She earned a Master of Science in Audiology in 2006 and Doctor of Audiology in 2008 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Dr. Duncan is licensed and trained in all aspects of hearing-related disorders for newborn, pediatric, and adult populations. Her professional interests include diagnostic hearing assessment and hearing aid fitting and orientation.
Dr. Duncan was raised in Salem, Virginia and now resides in Smyrna with her husband and their dog, Lucy.
